EF1... weak... ... 86 to 110 mph
EF2... strong... .111 to 135 mph
EF3... strong... .136 to 165 mph
EF4... violent... 166 to 200mph
EF5... violent... >200mph

.Thunderstorm wind damage summary of Yell into southern Pope counties...

Peak wind e: 90 mph
path length /statute/: 9 miles
path width /maximum/: 2 miles
fatalities: 0
injuries: 0

Start date: 04/26/2017
start time: 0954 am
start location: 1 mile west of Rover

End date: 04/26/2017
end time: 1012 am CDT
end location: 1 mile southwest of Russellville

The longest continuous stretch of wind damage occurred from Rover to
Plainview... this is where the 9 mile long path and 2 mile width of
the damage comes from. There was also damage reported in the cities of
Danville, Dardanelle, and Russellville, but the swath of damage was
not as continuous as the Rover to Plainview damage. Aside from the
brief spin up tornado on slo Fork Road west of Highway 27, all of
the wind damage in Yell and southern Pope counties was determined to
have been caused by straight line winds. The strongest wind damage
estimated was 90 mph winds and was rated that high because of several
instances of large trees that were uprooted and fell onto homes in
the communities of Rover, Plainview, Danville, and Dardanelle. The
Straight line winds produced significantly more damage than the
small tornado in northern Yell County in this instance.

the information in this statement is preliminary and subject to
