The National Weather Service in Jackson KY has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Estill County in east central Kentucky...
Lee County in southeast Kentucky...

* until 400 am EDT Saturday

* at 958 PM EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
thunderstorms with heavy rainfall moving across the warned area.
These storms will move across the area through 1130 PM and bring
additional rain up to one inch to locations that have received
several rounds of heavy rain earlier this week.

* Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flooding to
occur. Some locations that will may experience flooding
include... Beattyville... Irvine... Ravenna... Airedale...
Alumbaugh... Blackburn... Calloway Crossing... Cobhill... Cottage
furnace... Cow Creek... Cressy... Crystal... Doe Creek... Evelyn...
Fincastle... Fitchburg... fixer... Fox... furnace... Greeley...
Hardwick... Hargett... Harris Ferry... Iron Mound... Kimbrell... Kings

High water continues to flow over Cobb Hill Road and Fitchburg Road.
Additional rain from thunderstorms moving across the area will lead
to this continuing for the next few hours.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.

The National Weather Service in Jackson Kentucky has issued a
* Flood Advisory for
the Kentucky River near Ravenna.
* Until this evening.
* At 01 am Saturday the stage was 16.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to a crest near 17.1 around dawn on
Saturday. The river will then begin to recede but will run high
through early on Saturday evening.

6 miles ENE of Ravenna, Estill County.

Flash flood, reported by 911 call center.


            Several reports of water around 4 feet deep flowing along
            Fitchburg Road and Cobhill Road making them impassable.
            Both roads are at higher elevations... dispatch reported
            that flooding is rare at these locations.

Debris flow, reported by 911 call center.


            Rock Slide occured at the end of tickey Fork Road near
            Ravenna due to excessive rain. One resident is blocked in
            and the Road is impassable.

Flash flood, reported by 911 call center.


            Reports that flash flood waters caused the pavement to
            wash out on a portion of Pitts Road. The water has since
            receeded but the Road remains impassable.
