rainfall is expected through the evening hours.

* Heavy rain... combined with already saturated soils... will
likely lead to flash flooding in some areas... as already swollen
streams and rivers could rise rapidly and overflow their banks.

... Summary...

The winds started just east of Interstate 64 at the top of
criswell Lane which is at approximately 900 feet. A few trees in
the area were snapped and uprooted. Due to the terrain in The
Hollow... the winds increased as the storm moved southeast. A
singlewide trailer was destroyed at the intersection of criswell
Lane and US 60. The strongest winds were found at this location.
The storm then continued southeast to Green Oaks drive where
several large trees were uprooted. There was also evidence of hail

area of less than 2 1/2 miles wide and peak winds lasting less
than 5 minutes. Microbursts may induce dangerous horizontal and
vertical wind shears... which can adversely affect aircraft
performance and cause property damage. Straight-line winds are
generally any wind that is not associated with rotation... used
mainly to differentiate them from tornadic winds.
