The Flood Warning continues for
the Red River at Shreveport.
* From late Tuesday night until further notice... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 7:00 PM Friday the stage was 28.7 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by early Wednesday morning and
continue to rise to near 31.5 feet by Saturday morning. Additional
rises remain possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 31.0 feet... russel Road will be overflowed and closed
between Blanchard Highway and I-220 in North Shreveport.

The Bayou Dorcheat at Lake Bistineau, Louisiana.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 900 am Friday the stage was 142.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood pool stage is 142.5 feet.
* Forecast... the lake will remain near 142.9 feet through
Saturday morning.
* Impact... at 142.5 feet... expect some minor flooding of low area
camps, however, all access roadways will remain open.

The Bayou Dorcheat at Dixie Inn, Louisiana.
* Until Tuesday morning... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 1000 am Friday the stage was 15.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Monday early afternoon.
* Impact... at 14.0 feet... expect minor lowland flooding with the boat
ramp suffering overflow.

the Bodcau bayou at bayou Bodcau Lake, Louisiana.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 900 am Friday the pool stage was 179.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood pool stage is 172 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 180.0 feet by
Saturday evening then begin falling.

... The Flood Warning extended until Monday afternoon... the Flood
Warning continues for
the Red Chute bayou at Sligo, Louisiana.
* Until Monday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 600 am Friday the stage was 32.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 31 feet.
* Forecast... The Bayou will continue to fall to below flood stage by
late Sunday.
* Impact... at 33.0 feet... overflow will begin to affect the small
Mobile Home Park in the Sligo community just south of the
Sligo-Caplis Highway. Also expect flooding of farmland in southern
Bossier Parish between Red Chute bayou and the Flat River.
Livestock should be moved to higher ground.
* Upstream on Red Chute bayou at Dogwood trail... the 545 am Friday
stage was 20.5 feet. Expect Red Chute bayou to recede to near
20.3 feet at Dogwood trail by Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of southwest Arkansas...
northwest Louisiana... southeast Oklahoma and Texas... including
the following areas... in southwest Arkansas... Columbia...
Hempstead... Howard... Lafayette... Little River... Miller...
Nevada and Sevier. In northwest Louisiana... Bienville...
Bossier... Caddo... Claiborne... De Soto... Natchitoches... Red
River... Sabine and Webster. In southeast Oklahoma... McCurtain.
In Texas... Angelina... Bowie... Camp... Cass... Cherokee...
Franklin... Gregg... Harrison... Marion... Morris... Nacogdoches...
Panola... Red River... Rusk... Sabine... San Augustine... Shelby...
Smith... Titus... Upshur and wood.

* From late tonight through Monday morning

* showers and thunderstorms will increase Sunday morning over East
Texas and southeast Oklahoma... and spread east northeast across
southwest Arkansas and north Louisiana Sunday afternoon and
night. Locally heavy rainfall is possible from the stronger
storms... falling over already saturated grounds from heavy
rainfall that has fallen in the last week. Rainfall amounts of
one to three inches... with isolated higher amounts... are
expected... with this heavy rainfall resulting in increased
runoff and the potential for flash flooding.

* Low lying and poor drainage areas... especially in the vicinity
of rapidly rising creeks... will be most prone to flash flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
