* Until further notice.
* At 10:00 am Sunday the stage was 19.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 21.2 feet by
Monday morning then begin falling.
* At 17.0 feet... low-lying areas unprotected by levees begin to
flood.

Characterized Kansas City Weather In April...


The average temperature at the Kansas City International Airport was
57.1 degrees, which was 2.3 degrees above normal. The average high
temperature was 68.0 degrees, or 2.3 degrees above normal. The
average low temperature was 46.2 degrees which was 2.2 degrees above
normal. The highest temperature for the month was 81 degrees on the
3rd. The lowest temperature was 29 degrees on the 2nd. This April
was tied for the 35th warmest on the 128-year record for Kansas
City.

Precipitation came in at 7.15 inches for the month, or 3.45 inches
above normal. The greatest total in a 24 hour period was 4.14 inches
on the 26th to the 27th. This April was tied for the 4th wettest
April over the 128-year period of record.

Total snowfall for the month was a 0.0 inches, or 0.6 inches below
normal.
