The National Weather Service in San Juan has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Aguas Buenas municipality in Puerto Rico...
Caguas municipality in Puerto Rico...

* until 1030 PM AST

* at 547 PM AST, satellite estimates indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. More than three inches of rain have already fallen.
Flash flooding is already occurring.

Excessive rainfall over the warned area will cause mud slides near
steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and
other loose materials.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

* at 351 PM AST, satellite estimates indicate moderate to heavy rain
over these municipalities that will cause urban and small stream
flooding as well as water accumulation along roadways and low
lying areas. Also, some rivers across these areas are currently
running high.

Excessive rainfall over the warned area will cause mud slides near
steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and
other loose materials.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

continue across portions of the warned area. Up to three inches of
rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.

Barranquitas, Orocovis, Barahona, franquez, Los Llanos, g. L.
Garcia, pastos, Mariano Colon, parcelas la milagr, parcelas la
milagrosa and parcelas nuevas.

The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of Puerto Rico, including the
following areas, central interior, Culebra, eastern interior,
Mayaguez and vicinity, north Central, Northeast, northwest,
Ponce and vicinity, San Juan and vicinity, southeast,
southwest, Vieques, and western interior.

* From 8 am AST this morning through Wednesday evening

* abundant moisture will bring scattered to numerous showers and
thunderstorms to portions of Puerto Rico through Wednesday.
Soils are already saturated, and many rivers continue to run
above normal. Any additional heavy rainfall may lead to urban
and small stream and/or flash flooding.

* There is a high risk of river and small stream flooding as well
as mudslides and Rockfall in areas of steep terrain both in
rural and urban areas. Urban flooding is also likely across low
lying and poor drainage areas. Any additional rainfall across
these areas can lead to flash flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
