The Flood Warning continues for
the Sulphur river near Naples, Texas.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 700 am Thursday the stage was 28.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 22 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 29.0 feet by
Saturday morning then begin falling.
* Impact... at 31.0 feet... expect considerable lowland flooding and
flooded boat ramps.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Red River at index, Arkansas north of Texarkana.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 800 am Thursday the stage was 24.9 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by late this morning and continue
to rise to near 30.0 feet by Monday morning.
* Impact... at 29.0 feet... general inundation of farm and grazing
lowlands will occur. Ranchers should have completed evacuation of
livestock and equipment to higher ground. Expect water to crest well
up on levee systems.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Red River near DeKalb, Texas.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 700 am Thursday the stage was 34.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 34.5 feet by this
Thursday afternoon.
* Impact... at 34.5 feet... near record flooding of some twenty thousand
acres will continue. Severe backwater flooding of Pecan and Nolan
bayous occurs. The U.S. Highway 259 bridge approaches flood. Texas
Highway bridges 8 and 37 will likely flood and close. Move
livestock and equipment to higher ground.

Red River through the first week of June...

... Latest Red River stages and forecast crest information...

The 7 am Thursday stage on the Red River near DeKalb Texas at Pecan
Point was 34.6 feet. The river is currently at a flat crest. Flood
stage near DeKalb Texas is 24 feet.

The 7 am Thursday stage on the Red River at index Arkansas north of
Texarkana was 24.9 feet. The river will rise and crest near 30 feet
June 1. Flood stage is 25 feet.

The 7 am Thursday stage on the Red River at Fulton Arkansas was 22.3
feet. The river will rise and crest near 32 feet by June 3. Flood
stage is 27 feet.

The 7 am Thursday stage on the Red River at Shreveport Louisiana was
estimated 28.1 feet. The river will rise and crest near 33.0 by June
5. Flood stage at Shreveport is 30 feet.

The 7 am Thursday stage on the Red River at Coushatta Louisiana was
31.5 feet. The river is expected to rise and crest near 35.5 feet by
June 6. Flood stage at Coushatta is 31 feet.

The 7 am Thursday stage on the Red River at Grand Ecore Louisiana
was 36.0 feet. The Red River will rise and crest near 38.5 feet by
June 7. Flood stage at Grand Ecore is 33 feet.

Nearly all of the red river's tributaries in southern Oklahoma and
North Texas remain above flood stage. Soils in the Red River basin
remain saturated from this very wet Spring of 2015. Also Lake
Texoma on the Red River and tributary reservoirs to the Red River
remain very high as well from stored flood waters.

After the Red River crests... very high water stages will continue on
the Red River through at least the Independence day of the Fourth of
July due to very high flood control Reservoir pool stages across
much of the Red River basin.

Index Arkansas north of Texarkana 32.3 feet during may 10 of 1990.

Fulton Arkansas 34.3 feet during may 12 of 1990.

Shreveport Louisiana 34.5 feet during may 15 of 1990.

Coushatta Louisiana 37.5 feet during may 17 of 1990.

Grand Ecore Louisiana 40.7 feet during may 18 of 1990.
