Hot conditions will continue across portions of north and East
Texas on Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the upper 90s to
near 100 degrees. Heat index values will be a few degrees above
the air temperature.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible... reschedule strenuous activities to take place in the
early morning or evening hours. Wear light weight and loose
fitting clothing... and drink plenty of water. Never leave children
or pets unattended in a vehicle. Temperatures inside an enclosed
vehicle can reach 20 to 30 degrees higher than ambient outside
conditions.
