Flood Warning

The Flood Warning continues for the Guadalupe River near Bloomington.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:00 PM Sunday the stage was 25.9 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Forecast: the river will continue rising to near 27.6 feet by
Friday evening. Additional rises may be possible thereafter.

* At 27.0 feet, major flooding occurs. Flow downstream near Highway 35
is several hundred yards wide, cutting off many of the lowest homes.
Livestock are cut off and could drown. Pumps, tank batteries, and any
equipment in the flood plain below Victoria are flooded. The
campground near Tivoli below Highway 35 and residences just above
Highway 35 are flooded.

The Flood Warning continues for the Guadalupe River at Victoria.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:31 PM Sunday the stage was 16.3 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Forecast: rise above flood stage by tomorrow evening and continue
to rise to near 29.8 feet by Friday afternoon. Additional rises are
possible thereafter.

* At 29.5 feet, major lowland flooding occurs. The lowest homes in The
Greens addition subdivision in Victoria, the City Park, much of The
Golf Course, including the Golf cart sheds, and the zoo flood. A
fishing resort below Highway 35 near Tivoli floods, and many homes
above Highway 35 near Tivoli are surrounded by flow several hundred
yards wide. Hundreds of cattle in the flood plain below Cuero are cut
off and may drown. Riverside Camp Grounds in Tivoli approaches to
Highway 59 begin to flood.

The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a

* Flood Warning for the San Antonio River at Goliad.
* From Wednesday morning until further notice... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 8:00 am Sunday the stage was 9.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast: rise above flood stage by Wednesday morning and continue
to rise to near 34.5 feet by Friday morning. Additional rises are
possible thereafter.
* At 33.0 feet moderate flooding occurs. Roads, many Camp sites, RV
and temporary shelter sites in Goliad State Park flood. Hundreds of
livestock downstream in the flood plain are cut off and potentially
drown.

A damage assesment team consisting of city of Corpus Christi emergency
management and the NWS have completed a survey of storm damage that
occurred during the early morning hours today... may 24th 2015.
It was determined that the damage was caused by an EF-1 tornado with
maximum winds around 90 mph.

Damage... consisting of snapped and uprooted trees... was first noted near
Cunningham Middle School just north of golihar Rd. A residence just north
of the school at the corner of Hudson and Stafford streets sustained moderate
roof damage and had a fence blown down. The tornado continued to the
northeast crossing Horne Rd and paralleling Sarita street just to the east.
Dozens of trees were snapped and uprooted with many falling on homes or
vehicles. Several residences also suffered roof and siding damage in this
area.

Further northeast the tornado hit a grocery store on Tarlton St destroying
it's sign and blowing several windows out. Tree and minor roof damage then
continued on to the northeast as the tornado crossed Baldwin and Morgan
avenues. The last evidence of damage was at 16th St and Crosstown where a
Nursery sustained damage and a baseball dugout was destroyed.

All times in this report were estimated by radar.

damage survey.
