... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM MST
Tuesday...

* timing... periods of snow through Tuesday. The heavier snow on
the west slopes will occur through tonight. The snow on the east
slopes will be the heaviest late tonight through Tuesday
morning. Snow will taper off Tuesday afternoon.

* Snow totals... 8 to 14 inches with isolated higher amounts.

* Wind and visibility... the wind will become northeast by late
evening at 15 to 25 mph. This will cause blowing and drifting
snow with visibility below a quarter mile at times.

* Main impact... roads and highways will become slick and snow
packed. Travel will be difficult at times with reduced
visibility in snow and blowing snow... .especially over South
Pass.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be severely limited due to strong winds blowing
snow around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open
areas. Check the latest Road conditions at wyoroad.Info or by
dialing 5 1 1.

Several snowfall reports below are only through about 7 or 8 am
Monday. Snotel sites are through around 3 PM. So far it appears
central and southern Lincoln County was hardest hit from this winter
storm.

Mountain watersheds. Snowfall data from snotels are estimated based
on snow water equivalent.
